Just wrote another script, I CAN'T GO TO HEAVEN YET, my first script with comedy in the third act thanks to a boozing, chain-smoking angel with sarcastic wit. Act I and II would be considered drama and the comedy is only in the third act. So, is 1/3 comedy enough to make the genre a "dramedy"? And if there is no "dramedy" selection on the list, I guess the best choice is just "drama", right? Or would it be something else? Thanks in advance for everyone's suggestions.
Call it Drama OR put more comedy in the front end. Most ‘comedy’ tags used for movies these days means it is not very funny. Go with Drama and use ‘comedic elements’ in the pitch - that’s the truth as-is. Good luck. I like stories with angels, they can be such great characters.

Georgette Skolnick Interesting mix and that third act shift sounds like a lot of fun.
In terms of genre, it usually comes down to the dominant tone across the full story. If Acts I and II are primarily grounded in drama and the comedy is more of a tonal shift or release in Act III, it would still lean toward “drama” overall.
“Dramedy” typically works best when both elements are consistently present throughout, not just concentrated in one section.
That said, the comedic angel sounds like a strong tonal contrast could make the final act feel even more impactful.
You might position it as a drama with dark or tonal humor, depending on how it plays.
Curious does the comedy reframe the earlier acts in any way, or is it more of a release after the buildup?
