Hi everyone,
I’m Abhay, a cinematic music composer based in India currently working on video game projects and expanding into film scoring.
I’m especially drawn to character-driven stories — whether it’s intimate emotional drama or darker, psychological themes where the music plays a subtle but important role in shaping the audience’s experience.
Lately, I’ve been focusing on developing a more minimal, story-first approach to scoring rather than overly “big” music, and I’m looking to collaborate with filmmakers who value that kind of direction
Open to connecting, collaborating, or just exchanging ideas with other creatives here.
Looking forward to being part of the community.

Hey Abhay Barhate - great to meet you and Happy IY weekend! I love it that you're geared towards a story-first approach but we'd also love to hear your music. Do you have any direct links to your music? I checked out the reel which includes samples from various films you've worked on. The dialogue is a little strong to where the music can barely be heard. We'd love to hear your work. Be sure to stop by the composing lounge and get to know some of your fellow composers: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/composing
Hope you have an amazing IY weekend and make a ton of contacts!

Welcome, Abhay. You’ve got a really clear and thoughtful approach to your work, and I like that you’re focusing on a more minimal, story-first style of scoring. Music that supports character and quietly shapes the audience’s experience can be incredibly powerful, especially in emotional drama and psychological material. It’s great to have you here, and I’m sure that approach will really connect with filmmakers looking for something subtle, intentional, and grounded in story.

Hey Abhay Barhate, welcome to Stage 32. Love that you're taking a minimal, story first approach to scoring. That kind of restraint is harder than most people realize. Since you're new here, definitely check out the platform walkthrough video to help you get around: https://www.stage32.com/help?category=how-to-navigate-stage&parent=341676 What kind of video games have you been working on?
Hay Sam, Thanks for that walkthrough video. And i currently working on 2 horror video games made for PC , one is psychological driven and one is emotional driven. And one just small casual android game.
