What happens when the person who believed in your dream is no longer here to see it?
I'm currently working on a screenplay that explores grief, friendship, and the quiet determination that keeps artists going when life doesn't go according to plan.
One scene follows a writer staring at a blank page, trying to write about a friend who never stopped believing in the power of stories. As he flips through an old notebook, he finds a line they once wrote together:
"One day, people will know our names."
That moment forced me to think about something.
Many people give up because nobody is watching.
But what if the real test of a dream is whether you keep going when nobody is?
As writers, filmmakers, and creatives, have you ever had someone who inspired you to keep creating even during your toughest moments?
