Introduce Yourself : Creature Horror Proof of Concept Looking for EP by Doran Seff

Creature Horror Proof of Concept Looking for EP

I'm Doran Seff, reaching out on behalf of my project, "Curls".

"Curls "is a creature horror short in pre-production adapted from a published story in Coffin Bell Horror Journal, written and produced by a USC MFA graduate and Hollyshorts Best Short Screenplay Winner, directed by a filmmaker with commercial and music video credits. The story takes place in a near future where DIY cloning kits have hit the black market and follows the grotesque, comedic, and crushing consequences. This is a proof of concept for a feature, but also an awesome standalone piece.

We're crafting something with a longer arc and we're looking for an Executive Producer who wants to be part of that from the beginning. Our fundraising goal is 50K. We value people who are ambitious, talented, and above all, kind team players. We're building a team designed to win and want people who can be a part of that journey all the way through.

Ideal candidates bring experience in financing, festival strategy, or PR — but the right person with the right hustle and instincts is just as valuable to us. We have a strong creative team and a project worth getting behind. We're looking for someone who sees that and wants a seat at the table early.

If that sounds like you, let's talk. You can reach me at DoranSeff@Gmail.com.

Hi Doran!

Congratulations on getting Curls into pre-production. It sounds like you’ve assembled a strong creative team and are approaching the project with a clear long-term vision, which is always exciting to see.

The premise immediately caught my attention. I especially like the idea of using a creature horror concept to explore the unintended consequences of accessible cloning technology. High-concept genre stories often become even more compelling when they’re grounded in recognizable human choices.

I also appreciate your emphasis on building a team based not only on experience, but on kindness and collaboration. Those qualities can make all the difference during development and production.

Wishing you and the entire team every success with Curls. I hope you find the right partners to help bring the project to life!

Happy Introduce Yourself Weekend!

A well-crafted proof of concept can do far more than demonstrate a creative vision it can give investors and partners confidence in the project's commercial potential. Wishing your team success in finding the right Executive Producer and bringing (Curls) to the next stage.
