Your Stage : Announcement by Nathan Panfil

Nathan Panfil

Announcement

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve completed my third feature screenplay.

Over the past year, I’ve diligently built a diverse portfolio of three completed features spanning various genres, including a revisionist western, a historical epic, and a coming-of-age romantic-comedy. My ultimate objective is to continue expanding my body of work while forging connections with producers, managers, directors, and fellow writers who share my passion for crafting compelling storytelling.

Currently, I’m actively seeking literary representation and am always eager to connect with industry professionals and other writers. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to build meaningful relationships here on Stage 32!

Michael Dzurak

Congrats on number 3. And that's an impressive genre span. What made you go in that direction?

Ray Fontenault

Well done!

Nathan Panfil

I’ve always wanted to be unique and explore different genres, and I still plan to do so.

Branson Tiara

Congrats on your third feature, that range across a revisionist western, historical epic, and rom-com is impressive. Wishing you luck finding the right representation, would love to connect

Hey Nathan, this is Leonardo from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Screenwriting to Your Stage, as it fits much better there. The screenwriting lounge is for discussions that benefit the community as a whole. We'd love to hear about your journey as a writer so please feel free to post a question or comment for discussion there so that we can all learn from it. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you! @font-face {font-family:"Cambria Math"; panose-1:2 4 5 3 5 4 6 3 2 4; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:roman; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:-536870145 1107305727 0 0 415 0;}p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-unhide:no; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";}p.gmail-p1, li.gmail-p1, div.gmail-p1 {mso-style-name:gmail-p1; mso-style-unhide:no; mso-margin-top-alt:auto; margin-right:0in; mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto; margin-left:0in; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";}.MsoChpDefault {mso-style-type:export-only; mso-default-props:yes; font-size:11.0pt; mso-ansi-font-size:11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;}div.WordSection1 {page:WordSection1;}

Congratulations on finishing your third feature screenplay, Nathan Panfil! You could post your scripts on your profile. That way, producers, directors, etc. can see them. That and networking are how I sold four short scripts to a producer. Here's the link (click "Add a Logline" on the left): www.stage32.com/loglines

This rom-com fan and writer wishes you well. Westerns hold some intrigued for me; I particularly like those set in a small town as its residents look to build a community (To me, that's a key reason "Gunsmoke" was such a classic series on both radio and TV -- you had a genuine feel for Dodge City.) One of these days, I'd like to write a western, but I'm still unsure of how to avoid genre cliches.
