Hi, Kevin Jackson. I don't have any experience with making animation, but I think I would make a scene as a proof-of-concept. Or maybe a YouTube Short type video and concept art to help pitch the project.
Not a bad idea Maurice Vaughan one of the best pilots I have seen which had distributors fighting over the content was "Final Space". Have you ever watched it?
Hello Kevin Jackson, along the lines of what Maurice Vaughan said, I'd invest in a solid laptop, load up Unreal Engine with all the plugins and devices I'd need, and then create shorts, trailers, and a POC to showcase the IP from every angle, marketing for the rest.
That's great Dwayne Williams but that only takes care of $5,000. What will you do with the rest of the 45,000? You and @Maurice both say POC, shorts and trailer, but would you be hiring a team to do this? What size team do you think you would hire? What would your marketing look like on that budget?
Kevin Jackson I'd collaborate with another creator for characters, and for vocals I'd hire someone for a gig or get someone close to do it if more than one vocal part is needed—if not, I'd do it myself. Handle the UE work myself, and for the marketing side I'd hire 1 or 2 people to run a two-month campaign after we showcase the work, then take over from there with the social media that best fit the project's audience.

Thanks, Kevin Jackson. I don't think I've seen "Final Space." I'm guessing it's a space story from the title.

Kevin I am developing my animated series. I did the poster, one sheet, pilot script and now doing the trailer.
