Welcome, Federica! Interesting to see a production company actively looking for new projects as well as partners and investors. Are there particular genres, formats or stages of development that Embr Entertainment is most interested in right now? That might help filmmakers here understand what could be a good fit for you.

Happy Introduce Yourself Weekend!

Hello Zoltan! Our company specializes in vertical micro dramas. The genre we have been focusing on for the past two years is romance as well as action, like one of our latest projects, "Carter Reed". We would love to enter the Horror world, but our audience seems not to be ready for it yet. Shooting in LA is costing a lot; that's why we need partners and investors to navigate the challenges and avoid moving our production somewhere else.

Federica Genova

Hello Leonard, thank you for welcoming me to Stage 32, and thank you for checking out my website. I appreciate your time and compliments. I will definitely check the producing lounge! Thank you so much

Leonardo Ramirez

You are very welcome Federica Genova - great to meet you!

Hi, Federica Genova! Interesting that the vertical series audience isn't gravitating toward horror (at least, not yet). I think it would be incredibly effective, because those series, I assume, are mostly watched alone--one person, one device. Turn off the lights and watch a horror series and it could be really frightening! Maybe too scary? I don't know the answer, but I feel like it's a genre that would work well if it could find the right audience.

Ashley Renée Smith

Welcome to Stage 32, Federica Genova! My name is Ashley Smith, and I’m the Head of Community here at Stage 32. So glad you jumped into IYW to introduce yourself!

Your background as a Graphic and Production Designer and your work at Embr Entertainment on vertical micro-series is genuinely exciting, especially given how much momentum the vertical space is building right now. A few resources to help you make the most of your Stage 32 experience:

- Be active across the Producing, Filmmaking, and Screenwriting Lounges! These are wonderful spaces for you to connect with fellow producers, writers, and creatives whose projects might align with what Embr is looking for. Consistent engagement over time is one of the most powerful ways to find genuine collaborators, and when members are curious about your company and your creative eye, they’ll ask. Those organic conversations often lead to real, lasting creative partnerships that go so much deeper than a one-off outreach. You can find our Lounges here: https://www.stage32.com/lounge

- Reach out to our Success Team at Success@Stage32.com to tell them about Embr AND the specific kinds of projects you’re actively looking for. Given Embr’s focus on vertical micro-series AND your search for new material, partners, and investors, the Success Team is genuinely your strongest first step. They can help connect you with Stage 32 Executives who specialize in relevant areas, and they can help you strategize the strongest path forward for expanding Embr’s network within the Stage 32 community.

- Check out RB’s State of the Industry Ask Me Anything, now available on-demand in the Writers’ Room! RB spent nearly 3 hours answering member questions with genuinely incredible insight about the current state of the industry, including where vertical AND emerging formats are heading right now. It’s such a valuable listen for someone in your position. You can access it (and everything else in the Writers’ Room) with a FREE first month: https://www.stage32.com/writers-room/plans-vip

- Register for our next FREE Community Open House on Wednesday, September 23rd at 12pm PT. It’s a wonderful way to get a full overview of everything Stage 32 has to offer AND direct access to me and our team to ask any questions about how to make the most of your experience here. Even if you can’t attend live, registering guarantees you the full recording: https://www.stage32.com/education/products/stage-32s-september-2026-comm...

Welcome again, Federica! Rooting for you and for everything Embr is bringing to life next.

Federica Genova

Ashley, thank you so much for taking the time to provide me with all this useful information. I really appreciate that. I will make the most of my Stage32 experience!!

Jeffrey, hello! Yeah, very interesting, and strange because horror is such a great genre. I genuinely don't understand why the platforms don't take a risk and make some cool horror. The audience will love it. I think they want to stay on the safe side, which is sad because that means no excitement for something new and refreshing.

Pat Alexander

Hey Federica Genova great to hear from you! What're you working on right now that you're really excited about?

Federica Genova

Hello, Pat great to hear from you. Now I am doing some Graphic Design work, but I can't wait to go back to more exciting projects, film-related. What about you?

Jaspreet Kaur

Hi Federica, welcome to Stage 32. I’m a screenwriter developing character-driven drama, thriller, suspense, and horror features. I noticed Embr Entertainment is looking for new projects for vertical micro-series. Are you currently open to original scripted concepts from screenwriters, or mainly projects already developed specifically in vertical episodic format?

Federica Genova

Hello Jaspreet! Thank you for welcoming me to Stage32. We are more open to projects already developed in a vertical episodic format. Do you have anything like that? We are also looking for partners and investors to be able to create our own project at our own pace and not depend on any clients...if you happen to have any connections and don't mind sharing, I would appreciate that very much!

Samantha Rivera

Welcome, and it's great to see a production designer working at a company actively looking for new projects and partners. What's the most important thing you've learned from working on vertical micro-series that you think writers should know before developing for that format?

Jaspreet Kaur

Thank you, Federica. That’s helpful to know. My current projects are primarily feature screenplays, so I don’t have one already developed specifically in vertical episodic format at the moment. I am interested in learning more about the format, though, especially the episode length, number of episodes, genre preferences, and budget range Embr is targeting. If I develop something that fits, I’d be happy to reconnect. I’ll also keep Embr in mind if I come across relevant production or investment connections.

Jaz Lagrimas

Glad to have you here Federica Genova. Looking forward to your future connections through the Stage32 community!

Federica Genova

Hello Samantha! From my experience and from the clients I have worked with, when it comes to writing, they want drama and nonsense. I know it doesn't make any sense to hear or to write, to be honest, but that is what I have been seeing in the past 3 years working in the vertical world. Also, they want writers to follow the same pattern, the same story, which is the reason why many platforms reuse the same story over and over, and the audience is kind of tired of it. I have met and talked with many talented writers who have incredible new ideas, but the platforms are like, yeah, no, we want the same thing again. If it were for me, it would be a lot different, and many other genres would be explored. Horror, for example, which is my all-time favorite.

Jaspreet, got it! I would love to read your work anyway if it is okay with you. You never know; maybe I can convince my boss or other people involved to give something other than verticals a chance. Thank you so much for keeping Embr in mind for future recommendations. I appreciate that a lot.

Federica Genova

Jaz, thank you so much!

Wyman Brent

Federica Genova, greetings from a former Hollywood resident now living in Germany. It would be a pleasure to hear more about your work. The only thing I know about vertical involves blinds. Best wishes from a songwriter, scriptwriter and library founder.

Federica Genova

Hello Wyman! I would be glad to talk more about my work with you! I appreciate your interest in what I do!
