Hi everyone! My name is Martin Vignolo, and I’m a screenwriter from Argentina. I write film and TV projects, with a particular interest in comedy and dark comedy.
I’m currently developing several projects, including a TV pilot, and I’m looking to connect with screenwriters, producers, directors, actors, and other creatives from around the world.
I joined Stage 32 to learn, build meaningful connections, share ideas, and find opportunities to develop my writing professionally.
It’s great to be part of this community. I look forward to meeting you all!
Hey Martín Vignolo great to hear from you and welcome. If you ever need anything, the success team and I are here to help! Email us any time at success@stage32.com

Hi Martín Vignolo so glad you are here. I encourage you to check out the conversations in the screenwriting, producing, directing and acting lounges. Also, we are having a Stage 32 Open House Next Wednesday. You can find it at the top of every page. It's a great walkthrough on all the features of Stage 32.
Good hearing from you -- I too write comedy features.

Welcome, Martín! Comedy and dark comedy can travel surprisingly well when the characters and conflicts feel universal. Great to see you looking beyond borders good luck with the pilot and the projects you’re developing.

Hi Harry, thank you for your thoughtful comment and for welcoming me to Stage 32. When I develop a project, I usually start with the character. I’m interested in creating a strong character with a specific desire, contradiction, or problem, and then I build the premise and conflict around that character. My current TV pilot is a comedy with darker elements, and the main character came first for me. I’m always interested in how other writers approach the process as well.

Martín Vignolo thank you for jumping into this week's Creative Army mission, and welcome to IYW!
Argentine comedy and dark comedy is a good place to be writing from. A TV pilot is a good project to be developing too, and comedy pilots in particular tend to sell on voice more than concept, which works in your favor if the voice is distinct.
A couple of things:
Email our Success Team at Success@Stage32.com. Free, and worth doing. Tell them about the pilot and the other projects you're developing, and they'll tell you which Stage 32 Executives are looking for comedy and international material.
And register for our FREE Community Open House this Wednesday, September 23rd at 12pm PT. A live walkthrough of everything available here plus a chance to ask questions directly, and it'll put you ahead on next week's Creative Army mission launching Monday. Registering gets you the recording even if the time zone doesn't work for you live: https://www.stage32.com/education/products/stage-32s-september-2026-comm...

Hi Zoltán, thank you very much for your thoughtful comment. I completely agree that strong characters and universal conflicts are key, especially in comedy and dark comedy. I’m currently developing a TV pilot in that space, and I’m very interested in exploring how stories from Argentina can connect with international audiences. It’s great to connect with you here on Stage 32!
