I think it's happening that "The Wood" ain't as good as it used to be!? It's still The Wood, but the pendulum IS swinging in a different direction. I'm in Atlanta which is slowly and surely becoming and being billed as the "new" Hollywood (of the South). Construction of new facilities is going on from the mountains to the sea. Production is occurring at a fever pitch (still tryin' to stake my claim to some of it), and more is planned. Is Hollywood in trouble? More learned people than I (Spielberg, etc.) are alluding to it being so, or at least, heading in that direction. We the public (ticket buyers) are the arbiters of success or failure of a film, regardless of where it's produced and filmed. Good news travels fast. Bad news travels faster!
