The "element" is a combination of things... Great idea Great structure Great pacing Great dialogue Great characters These things come from writing, writing and more writing. This also creates a "voice", which is terse and confident. This combination, shines when you read it on paper and It should create the movie in the readers mind's eye.

Obviously proper formatting, grammar and syntax are the first rules, but aside from that, all of the above advice is true and none of the above is true. The one element that will work best for you is to have a unique voice and be confident with what you are trying to say. It's different for everybody. I landed a television development deal and an agent with the first original pilot script I wrote.
