Aaron Sorkin's 'Newsroom' Renewed for Third and Final Season

Apparently, my love/hate, car crash can't-look away relationship will come to an end after 10-12 more episodes. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/aaron-sorkins-newsroom-renewe...

"The Office" actor/producer Paul Lieberstein will join Sorkin, Alan Poul and Scott Rudin as an executive producer on the show.

Sigh... the writing is so great!

Richard "RB" Botto

Sometimes, Phillip. Find it enormously uneven and, believe me, I'm a Sorkin apologist. The episode last year with the shot clock had my skin crawling.

Cassandra Nicholson

Haha, you were so not alone in that relationship with "Newsroom."

Philip Sedgwick

I'm with you on the shot clock, RB. Sometimes starting the clock in a script is too literal a device... like the guy I had picking the cat out of the thorn tree in the opening scene of my romcom, Cat's Claw (kidding about cat's claw). Still, I do like his dialogue.

Bill Hartin

I recently read a less-than-kind description of NEWSROOM as a historical instant replay but I find the show more of a balancing act of story lines, recent history, the broadcasting business and all done with Sorkin's snappy dialogue.
