Hi everyone. Six years ago after a career in marketing I moved to London for my husband's job. Suddenly sidelined on the career track and having two kids to settle into an ex-pat experience, I took a screenwriting class, wrote a screenplay and it was a top-13 finalist in Scriptapalooza. Now back in Chicago, I'm currently marketing five completed screenplays and try and write everyday. I'd love to collaborate with another writer. Comedy with heart is my main genre although I wrote a political thriller that was a top-25 finalist in the Thriller category in Page and a family comedy that won the comedy award at the International Family Film Festival. I am constantly reading screenplays and taking classes to improve my writing. Good luck to all the other creative people on Stage 32!
I'm an actress and knows what it's like to mix family and career. Sounds like you did an excellent job and you're on a roll. You go girl! I'm in Chicago too so if you have a reading or need me let me know. You found your career path. Good for you and congrats on your achievements
We should stay in touch. I'm in the burbs and romcoms are my favorite genre.
Hi Tracy, I would love to learn more about how to market screenplays. What are the venues that you mentioned in your post? Looking forward to chatting:)
