Just a question

is it possible for a 15-year old (me) to become a dancer (contemporary and hip hop) even though i have just started in november 2013 (contemporary)? regarding hip hop...i have never had any hip hop classes..i kinda teach myself..but i would just like to know...'cause somehow, and i really dont know why, i lost my belief and motivation..plz be honest! thanks!

D Marcus

Of course it's possible. But you must keep motivated. I know (we all know) how difficult it is but those who have made it will tell you keeping motivated is the most important part.

Nina Mihailovic

thank you! but the thing is i should lose 10-15kg..sry i dont know how much it is in ibs :/...and it's pretty hard

D Marcus

I know how hard it is. But you're up to the challenges, right?

Michael Deutch

and @Michael Deutch this girl is sooo amazing and inspiring!

Michael Deutch

Cool! It shows that with hard work, practice and time that you can completely do it!

No matter what the goal the key is to MOVE FORWARD TOWARD THAT GOAL EVERY DAY! Do not let a day go by without doing something dance oriented. It could mean just dancing or perhaps it means spending time networking. If you can show that dedication you WILL succeed!

Nina Mihailovic

I do have to say that stage32 is soo freaking amazing..i mean the fact that everybody supports everybody and shares information...if u can say it that way :) AWESOME!

Simon King

if you keep on going practice at least 2 hours a week, eat well take besides selftraining good hiphop lessons, keep on going with temporary...feel like a dancer, you are one, your weight will go down because of all the above and go swim twice a week! Good luck hope to hete and see more of you ( i am an ex contamporary dancer, still dance but my body is old ypu are still yong you are still growing at least till you are 18 so take full adventage of this period to set your base for a nice life

Nina Mihailovic

Thank you so much! That is very inspiring and an awesome motivation! I will definitely give it a try.

I can tell you honestly that I did not take dance serious until I was about 19, and no I was not THAT good when I started. It's been since 2007 since I started training. 7 years and I'm not where I want to be but that doesn't stop me. Slow progress IS progress! Your goal is to be better than you were the day before, don't think you suck, don't compare. simply live, dance, and enjoy. anything worth doing will take hard work
