Hey Craig, yes, we were just talking about this elsewhere... You beat me to the punch. I was going to post in "meet ups" later today. Anyway, I was thinking a restaurant in Pacific Place would be a good spot, mostly because it seems centrally located and has decent parking. What do you think?
I would be interested in meeting up. When we get something definitive, we could share on other social media sites since many performers aren't yet on Stage32.
Hey everyone, I'm thinking Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant at Pacific Place might be a good spot. Perhaps mid to late August or early September? They have a fairly large bar area. I'm trying to avoid making some sort of official "party reservation" and therefore having to put down a chunk of money or being stuck with a bill. The issue, of course, is that we have no idea how many people will show up. I'm thinking everyone buys their own drinks and food and just has a great time. What say you?
Deena, are you talking about a different group meet up, correct? The "Seattle Screenwriters Meetup Group?" I'm just trying to get something started for Stage 32. Perhaps you should post this on a different thread. Sounds like an additional meeting.
Is SSMG on another site? Either way, can we set up a meetup on Friday, July 29th 6:00 p.m. ish for afterwork drinks in downtown Seattle? Gordon Birsch would work. This is in addition to, not replacing any other meetup.
Yes, I believe Deena did post SSMG separately. Personally, I am not available July 29. I was thinking more mid/late August. If you guys would like to do something sooner, go ahead. I can always attend the next one. :)
Bad planning on my part. I called Storyville Coffee, and it seems they close pretty early (no answer at 5:30 PM). So, Chris and I moved the meeting to their usual spot on Capitol Hill -- the Starbucks on 1600 East Olive Way, Seattle, WA at 7:00 PM. Anyone's welcome to come by. I'd love to meet y'all.
Crystal, we're in the right spot in the lounge -- "meet ups." Would you please slow down. :) Once we have a date, I'll create a new post. Let's keep this streamlined.
Okay, I'm thinking Friday, August 15, 5:30-6:00 pm or Saturday, August 16, 5:30-6:00 at the Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant in Pacific Place. Hopefully one of those dates works well for most, especially for those of us who are coming from outside Seattle. Let me know and I'll start a new post with the meet up information. Sound good?
Considering the first post was 5 months ago, I guess it is moving kind of fast. Can someone direct me to the "Seattle Screenwriters Meetup Group." I would be interested in meeting with other screenwriters too.
Crystal, just trying to keep information simple and clear. :) Actually, the first post about a meet up in Seattle was over a year ago, no, almost two years ago! :) I believe they managed to have one, but it was really difficult for those of us living outside of Seattle. I remember Rick saying he had a helluva time finding it with traffic and no parking and had to give up. I decided to pass. That meeting was started by people who attended the Seattle Film School and it was held in the heart of Belltown. I have no idea if they are still meeting. Anyway, that may be another option out there too. :)
Great Crystal! Dana, I'm sorry that weekend isn't working for you. Perhaps after we have a first meeting we can then schedule monthly meet ups.... Catch you on the next one. :) Okay, it looks like Saturday, August 16 is our day! I'll start a new post with that date and hopefully we'll find more willing participants.
Hello! I was recommended by a script supervisor to take any positions into extras. I want to stay in Seattle, Portland, maybe California but a bit pay to do it. Can you add me and contact me in via email:
Boosting this to see if anyone is interested?

Count me in. I alternate working South Lake Union and Bellevue.

Late August would be better for me. But of course, don't let that stop you. I am more of a voice actor than on camera.
Still learning to navigate the site. Is there a date in August that works? Is there a way to create an "event" in Stage 32?

5:00 PM on Saturday August 16th would work well for me, and Pacific Place Mall does have good parking. Also the Metro bus 40 runs right by it.

Saturday August 17 works for me but the 16th would be my first choice. Either way I'll be there.

Okay Rick and Deena. Saturday or Friday, August 15 or 16 works for me. Crystal? Dana?
I will be out of town from the 13th-17th.
I'll be out of town August 2nd-10th. (This is like herding cats, isn't it? :) ) So any other weekend evening will work just fine for me.
I could do Saturday evening. August 16
