My name is David Thornton, but since I share the same last name as Cindy Lauper's husband (and actor), I am David Lucha for my performance work. I perform in an 80's throwback hardcore band (think Black Flag/Henry Rollins) called Lucha and The Flatspots. I attended college with a theater performance scholarship, but life got in the way and I didn't pursue my acting dreams. Now, at the age of 40, I want to change that.

Life begins at 40, David. Go for it.

Wow, just remember being 40 doesn't mean life has got away. On the contrary, it's probably the best time to kick start where you want to go. Yoko Ono “Some people are old at 18 and some are young at 90. Time is a concept that humans created.”

Definitely don't want to sound as if life is over. Fit, 40, and ready for the next slew of challenges including a (temporarily) stalled acting career.
