This is close to a repeat of what I just posted. I hope this doesnt break any rules. Go ahead and delete if it does. I did forget to mention that I got Terry Kiser (weekend at Bernies) in my film. He was awesome.... Hello Everyone, As the title says I am 17 years old and I just finished my first feature Film. If that wasn't scarey enough I had talent come from Texas, New York, California and Chicago as the leads. Once the first person landed at the Boise airport there wasn't any turning back. We shot this in 17 days. We used a Sony FS 700. I was the director (although my DP bailed me out more than once if I'm being honest), one of the leads, Caterer, production scheduler and Intern. Because of my limited budget (Every dollar came from my bank account) I had to come up with a story where I didn't need helicopters, massive extras etc. I came up with an updated Breakfast Clubish movie but with 2014 problems not 1985. Racial Profiling, Social Bullying, raised by two moms... Someone told me about this site. looks so cool. We are now editing and looking for someone to score the movie. I wanted to introduce myself. But I have to go to Algebra class right now. Lastly, the reason I did the movie is because I was tired of adults dictating my success. I always get callbacks but i feel like a lot of things are out of my control like I might be to fat, skinny, ugly, cute, tall, short etc. This is my first post. Can anyone see it? Thanks for reading Connor Williams

Hi Connor, It sure takes a lot of guts to do all that as a 17-year-old. An awesome feat indeed! :)

I also made my first feature at about your age, 3+ decades ago. GOOD FOR YOU. Don't let anyone quash your aspirations. Love to see the movie when it's finished... and on the other side of the coin, it is a tough business and there are gatekeepers everywhere. YOu have to play the game to play the game, so while you do your own thing, try to keep a foot in the "other" scene too; it will do you good for both career and personal growth.

You're in the 1% club of indie filmmakers that actually complete a film !
where is it screening or is it on line to watch ?
1% wow? I hope the odds are better than that. Not screening anywhere yet. We just started editing. If you go to Spoilers The Movie on Facebook you can see a quick clip. The marketing plan is in the works. But, yes festivals at this point. I have been offered distribution already but I have put them on hold for right now. If you can like the page you will get all the updates!

1% is just about right. Most indie films never get off the ground and those that do, seldom get completed... and those that do may never see more than a private screening, or if lucky a film festival... a tiny percentage of those ever get distributed and fewer still make any money. I watched the clip. WELL DONE. The footage is well shot, framing is nice, the set is makes me interested in seeing more and the acting ( obviously not a lot in such a short clip ) is well done, I bought into the character immediately. If you need any help in post or have a question about delivery requirements etc.... feel free to contact me.. You did good. i'm going to watch this when it comes out.

Georgia, This is crazy everything they need. Are you sure that isnt the 1% of not getting all that to a distributor. That is a weeks worth of stuff. Thank you so much for giving me this guidance. It is truly helpful.
