RAPIER: ADVENTURE/COMEDY SAMPLE
By Don Thomas

GENRE: Action, Adventure, Comedy
LOGLINE: Hollywood actor with a lot of bad habits inadvertently becomes the world's first costumed vigilante.

SYNOPSIS:

He drinks, he's a womanizer, stubborn as a mule, and prone to getting into the occasional barroom brawl. A few months before the attack at Pearl Harbor in the year 1941, the head at the studio he works for arranges for him to appear at his latest premiere dressed as the main protagonist of his latest movie, the Rapier. But upon arriving at the premiere he notices three thugs attempting to rob the crowd. To the surprise of everyone, including himself, he manages to defeat all three men. The flashbulbs go off and the entire country awakens to newspaper headlines about him being the first real costumed adventurer. The studio head decides to take advantage of all the free publicity and make it look like Jason's some sort of masked hero. They set him up with a couple of fake appearances, and even let his chauffeur take part in the charade acting a sidekick of sorts. But what none of them know is real or not, he is about to stumble right into a very real nefarious villain's evil plans.
