GENRES: Comedy

A young woman struggling with the effects of an unusual adolescent trauma attempts to find love and face her past. A classic, old-school romantic comedy; a fairy tale for trauma survivors.

As If

GENRES: Musical

In the early 2000s, a traumatized young woman enters a fugue state in which she believes herself to be living in the year 1995. Several years later her story is picked up by a pop culture news program, sparking a national movement of release, nostalgia, and deliberate cultural amnesia. A jukebox musical, and also a very, very loose adaptation of Don Quixote. An exploration of the things we turn to for escape in the moments when reality bites.

Cusack 2020
