Born in Brooklyn, New York, Tony Topaz is a seasoned writer, producer, director and actor. Topaz was introduced to the world of filmmaking at an early age while employed as a set grip working closely with directors and camera operators. Since then, he has appeared in 33 music videos, filmed numerous infomercials, documentaries, and short films. Topaz credits the late actor/director Ron O’Neal (Super Fly 1972) and award-winning director Douglas T. Green (The Vigilante) for mentoring him and helping develop his craft as an independent filmmaker. Topaz received rave reviews from entertainment magazines for his work on the Clegg Series documentary, “The Daughters of Isis. Topaz launched Dollar Per View, an online entertainment/distribution network featuring various films created by independent filmmakers, including favorite genres such as drama, comedy, horror, Sci-Fi, documentaries, and more.
