A Die Hard scenario with a Leprechaun. 

SYNOPSIS:

GOLD RUSH

Flik O’Day is a down on his luck leprechaun and his luck is worsen when his gold is accidentally and unknowingly stolen with other gold and he is assigned to retrieve it. Tracking the gold to America where the people who took the gold are archeologist and the gold is being put on temporary display in a museum for St. Patrick’s Day, courtesy of the Arnold family who are unaware of the gold have it in a safe at the matriarch Jean Arnold until more research is done before transferred to office.

As Flik sneaks into the home of the Arnolds at the same time a gang of mercenaries led by David Stine, Flik is unable to find the gold, but when he sees the mercenaries hides and attempts to summon help and escape but runs into one of the criminals and kills him in self-defense. Flik sees a chance to escape but choses to instead remain behind and recover the gold and save the family. Stine reveals he is after the Arnold’s money and artifacts to sell on the black market. Flik manages to kill a few of them and sabotage their attempts but is soon caught by Stine and his men.

Flik reveals he is a leprechaun, but they don’t believe (though he considers the Leprechaun horror film franchise a defamation of character, and some to be a stereotype). When they threaten to kill Tilly Jean’s granddaughter and daughter of her son Dick and wife Carla Flik distracts them and escapes with Tilly and they contact the family and reveals why he is there, and that he was a warrior leprechaun who are not in service anymore and agrees to save the family.

Stine soon breaks through the vault and gathers as much as his remaining men can while Flik eliminates the remaining criminals. Stine attempts to flee but Flik catches up to him, and they confront each other, as Stine learns Flik is a leprechaun but decides to kill him and take his gold and use it to find the other leprechauns they fight. As Stine gains the upper hand, Flik uses his magic to kill him but is shot by Stine’s lieutenant Crisly who is killed by an officer, Tilly finds him a four-leaf clover, and it helps heal Flik who returns to Ireland with the gold.
