An up-and-coming fighter prepares to battle a violent opponent. 

SYNOPSIS:

SAMARITAN

Clark Gibbs is a young up and coming fighter, trained in MMA he is very skilled but has yet to gain a shot at the title. Then some information of him doing good deeds surface, such as subduing a criminal, stopping a shooting, and even helping a man in a trucking accident. The information goes viral, and fight promoter Stan Jackson looking for a new contender to fight brutish Lane Drayke finds this and decides to recruit him, and after some convincing, succeeds.

Clark is paired with former champion Alex Wayne as a trainer, who lost his title to Drayke years ago. As Clark and Alex go through training, Alex warms Clark that Drayke is a brute who is known for even breaking his opponents and is suspected of cheating and using steroids, but no one has proven it yet. Meanwhile, Drayke has learned of his new challenge and begins a smear campaign with his manager Gary Grige just to ruin him and Stan, Clark begins to feel the effects of the insults, but finds solace in Nattie Lenton, then Alex learns that Drayke planted drugs on them, and challenges him and faces Drayke only to be beaten to a pulp.

In the fight Drayke gains the upper hand, but Clark manages to use an uppercut to gain the upper hand in a grueling fight and defeats him winning the championship, all made easier when Stan reveals he did some investigating and exposed Drayke’s cheating, steroid use, and drugs discrediting the smear campaign. Alex recovers, Drayke ends up jailed and banned, and Clark becomes the new champion under the nickname Samaritan with Nattie as a girlfriend.
