A successful psychologist permits her open-minded siblings to move into her picture-perfect home in exchange for teaching her narrow-minded family perspective that her studies could not.

SYNOPSIS:

On the day, Davontae Hunter, a vocal traditional man stuck in his ways, and his wife, Sonya, a psychologist who makes it her priority to “adapt the new world,” host their eldest son, Kiyan’s, graduation party, they run into various calamities that make their day most memorable. As Sonya’s younger sister, Lauren, moves in, her twin, Montraie, comes to help set up the party. At the same time, he discovers his boyfriend has dumped him. During a conversation with Kiyan, Montraie takes it upon himself to go behind his back and invite Kiran’s friends, who happen to be gay and transexual. During the party, Davontae and Kiyan have a confrontation regarding their different points of view on life, which causes Sonya to believe she failed her children despite being a profound psychologist. Sonya decides that with Kiyan moving out and Lauren moving in, she welcomes Montraie into their household; therefore, she can open the eyes of her youngest children, Jadyn and Taelynn, inviting new perspectives into their household and creating a safe space for them to be whoever they want to be.
