The script is an adaptation of my novel, Return to Nam, Behind Memories. The novel It follows a young man shaped by the protests of the 1960s who, decades later, journeys back to Vietnam. Through encounters with veterans, refugees, and younger generations,  explores war’s lingering ghosts—trauma, guilt, and memory—while offering a deeply human story of reconciliation and hope.
