AMANDA is on the verge of dumping her deadbeat boyfriend STEVE, when a mysterious virus starts incapacitating the male population of the planet. But when Steve turns out to be immune to the global man-flu, Amanda suddenly finds herself with the most desirable boyfriend on Earth.

SYNOPSIS:

AMANDA and STEVE have been together since college… and Amanda has had enough! She works hard to pay the bills in a job she hates, while he stays home and plays computer games all day. Amanda’s plan to “uncouple” from Steve, however, is interrupted when an extreme, flu-like virus starts incapacitating the entire male population of the planet. All that is except for Steve - who turns out to be immune to the global “man-flu”. And so, Amanda suddenly finds herself with the fittest boyfriend on Earth!

Amanda confides in her best friend (from work) SAM, swearing her to secrecy. Soon every woman in London knows about Steve and the couple are forced to go on the run. They decide to head for Edinburgh where Steve’s ex-fiancé - a successful immunologist - may be able to create an antivirus from a sample of Steve’s blood (or some other fluid.)

Whilst most women are unaffected by the virus, a small percentage display elevated testosterone levels and high levels of aggression - so, with Steve disguised as a woman, the couple flee London, amidst widespread looting of shops, and with gangs of desperate housewives, lonely single women, and a militant feminist group called W.A.R.P. (Women Against the Return of the Patriarchy), all hunting for the famous Steve.

Two women especially keen to get their hands on Steve are the Prime Minister, MARGARET MAUL, and Hello There! magazine’s editor - and global media mogul - GLORIA LAWTHER. Whilst the PM wants to secure the only fit man alive to make Britain the number one global superpower, Lawther knows that having exclusive rights to Steve and his life story will make her the most powerful media boss on Earth. Maul instructs the army to hunt for Steve, while Lawther puts together her own team of manhunters, including a ruthless big-game hunter named VAN CLAUS.

Amanda and Steve are forced to abandon their car at a roadblock and hitch a ride with a nice group of women in a campervan... on their way to W.A.R.P. H.Q.! The couple are forced to flee, pursued by heavily armed W.A.R.P. members. They take shelter with Amanda’s mother, LORRAINE. But Lorraine is an avid Hello There! reader and alerts Lawther to Steve’s presence.

Amanda and Steve are pursued by Van Claus in the Hello There! helicopter, but evade her by ditching their car and heading into a forest. Van Claus hunts them on foot, but the couple ambush her in a paintball range and take her down with a bombardment of multi-coloured emulsion.

The path is now clear for Amanda and Steve to reach Edinburgh and save the male race. But will the new world be a patriarchy, a matriarchy, or something else? And what does the future hold for Amanda and Steve’s relationship?
