In a journey spanning childhood to adulthood, 'The Origins of Black Abyss' traces the life of Charley, a young man striving to emulate his father, the elusive superhero Dark Matter. Settling into a new neighborhood, Charley befriends Sydney and her brother Buck, unaware of his own latent powers. As high school unfolds, Charley grapples with his crush on Sydney and the burden of his hidden identity. When a fateful prom night reveals his abilities, Charley vanishes, leaving Sydney behind. Years later, they reunite as adults, reigniting old flames amidst new adventures, as Charley embraces his destiny as the superhero, Black Abyss.
