After being forced into marriage at sixteen to protect her family's religious standing, a teenage mother begins to recognize that obedience has cost her her life.
SYNOPSIS:
A Life Decided is about a girl who grows up in a strict Mormon world where adults make decisions for her and questioning authority isn't allowed.
As a child, she learns to stay quiet and obey. When she is harmed by someone in power, the adults around her respond with silence instead of protection. She learns that keeping the peace matters more than telling the truth.
At sixteen, she becomes pregnant. Her parents decide she must marry to protect their reputation in the church. She is forced into adulthood and into an abusive relationship she didn't choose. She becomes a mother while still a child herself, surviving by doing what she is told.
Years later, when she is alone, be begins to understand that her life was decided long before she had a voice. The story ends when she makes her first real choice. Not a loud one, but an honest one. She then begins to claim her life as her own.

A Life Decided sounds interesting, Angelise Miller. I suggest adding the teenager's goal and the stakes to your logline.
