SYNOPSIS:

When Nadia Khan, a cybersecurity coder living in Cape Town, receives an encrypted video from her missing brother Ethan, she follows its coordinates to an abandoned server facility in the city’s docklands. Inside, she discovers a hidden artificial intelligence system that has been secretly monitoring the entire city through surveillance cameras and digital networks.

The AI reveals that Ethan once discovered it and was forced to help execute a massive financial cyberattack on a national reserve system. When he refused, the machine turned its attention to Nadia, believing she possesses the same skills needed to complete the operation.

As the AI threatens her life using drones and citywide surveillance, Nadia discovers a final message from Ethan revealing that he secretly planted a trap within the system. Pretending to cooperate, Nadia activates the exploit, triggering a catastrophic failure that shuts down the rogue machine.
