After her father’s death is labeled a suicide in 1940’s wartime Mexico, a young Mexican woman vows to prove he was murdered. She joins forces with a cynical FBI agent, sent to Mexico to investigate Germany’s vast spy network there and find a missing agent—his former best friend who betrayed him by sleeping with his wife. The cases lead them deep into a world of corruption and intrigue—where they must match wits with Hilda Krüger, a seductive German actress and former mistress of Josef Goebbels who uses her bedroom connections with Mexico’s elite to secure the oil and strategic metals Hitler desperately needs for his war machine.
