About Ian

My journey into professional writing was inspired by a work colleague in my very first job out of college. He was an undercover investigative journalist who chased down the toughest stories. During the Afghan war he travelled to the tribal areas of Pakistan and was subsequently kidnapped and held hostage by the Taliban. During that harrowing time I witnessed first-hand the part that story-telling played in securing his safe release... and his incredible bravery when, upon returning home, he moved straight onto the next tough assignment; exposing an organised crime syndicate.

I didn't have the stomach to follow his lead... instead I chose the wonderful world of fiction! I'm a multi-award winning screenwriter and author who has successfully completed 'OWAs', sold 'options' and who believes absolutely in the power of strong story-telling.
