ABOUT NYISA/NYISA|INDIA:

NYISA is being conducted for the past 3 years in New York City and has been getting a lot of attention within the industry with every passing year. Chakrra, USA and Kachhapi Entertainment and Ventures Pvt. Ltd. have partnered with NYISA to bring this competition to India. In our first year, we are introducing the competition and awards to writers across Karnataka. We have plans of expanding it to other states and regions & categories in the coming years to encourage and recognize writers across the nation and connect them to producers and directors across the globe and especially in USA.

NYISA|INDIA is more than a scriptwriting competition and is aimed at being a practical guide to aspiring screenwriters to improvise on their writing skills. With valuable feedback provided by an eminent award winning screenwriter, founder and Director of NYISA, Emine Dursun and other jury members of NYISA who have worked extensively in various departments of the film industry.

The writers can benefit immensely from perspectives of various departments of filmmaking to the scripts submitted to the competition.

ABOUT CHAKRRA/KACHHAPI PVT. LTD.

Chakrra LLC., USA and KACHHAPI PVT. LTD. were founded by Mrs. Archana Mynampati, are film production companies. We are especially interested in bringing this to India in order to heck out writers from corners of Karnataka (this year) and eventually from all corners of India, to harness the best talent and provide them the exposure and experience they would need to convert their scripts into products and present them on a global forum, be it a feature film, short film or a corporate campaign.

Hey Pulkit, a few days ago we implemented a new privacy setting to give you the option of accepting private messages only from users within your network. Today, I discovered a bug with the way this option is set for new users. I just wanted to let you know that the bug is now fixed, so all members are now able to receive private messages from any other member (the default setting). If you'd like to receive private messages only from users within your network, you can change this setting here. Also, you can access your privacy settings at any time from the drop-down menu that appears when you hover over your profile photo in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
