SYNOPSIS:
A mother gives her young son, "the talk". For African American families, it's not about the "birds and the bees." It's about racism and prejudice.

Just a suggestion: "Over a cup of tea, an African American mother introduces her young son to the realities of their cultural heritage." It's essentially the same as what you wrote, but the structure feels stronger to me??? Also, I don't think you need to repeat the title in your logline. But I'm learning as well as everyone else here, so open to comments! And good luck with your script!

It’s been a minute and quite the journey!
We successfully crowdfunded our film on Seed & Spark at 121% funded, shot the film, and went on to earn 6 Official Selections and 1 Social Justice Award nomination.
The short premiered on YouTube in February of this year.
From script to screen, it was a four-year journey.
