I have been running a company called Dancing Giraffe CIC since January 2012. It is a website for disabled people and their care networks and links them to vital community resources and other charitable organisations that can help them in their daily lives. Because we are a not for profit organisation we fundraise to help disabled people such as a lady I am currently helping who has Marfan's disease. She has been told by her Doctors that there is nothing further that they can do for her so she has set up a wishlist that she wants to do before she goes totally blind. We are helping her achieve some of that and we are taking her to the Tower of London and to the top of the Shard next month (April 2016). To fundraise we get involved in events where we can raise the money to be able to do that. We have recently put on a Race Night and on 1st April we are putting on a musical evening with a fish and chip supper with a duo called Northshore at the Marks Tey Hotel, near Colchester, Essex. The hotel are giving us the room for free and the duo are doing the gig for free. A big thanks goes to them both for helping us achieve our goals. Without kind hearted people like these we would struggle to fund the assistance that we provide.
