Specs. The lifeblood of the industry. The gateway into the world of lucrative paying writing jobs, or the entrée into studio and broadcast networks’ writing programs, which often lead to getting paid to write.
A great spec is like a golden ticket into a world where, even in 2014, writers are cashing in very nicely. The key phrase here is “A great spec”. You need a great spec, ready to dazzle from every conceivable angle. The concept instantly enticing. Plotlines fleshed out and functional. Characters who sizzle and pop. Your scripts, and even your treatments, they need to stand out. In short, they need to be “Spec-Able”!
I am a veteran writer with produced credits. I am also a professional Script Analyst and consultant. I’ve helped writers prepare their scripts to be seen by top producers, to be submitted to writing contests like NBC Writers On The Verge, ABC Writers Program, Warner Bros. Writers Workshop and Nickelodeon. I’ve judged contests for the Humanitas Prize and Overbrook (Will Smith’s production company). I’ve even consulted students in the UCLA Producers Program.
Let me help make your spec spec-able! It doesn’t matter what shape your writing is in. If you believe your script just needs a tweak, or perhaps a little more than that, it is my job to help you out. My rates are reasonable, and my services are flexible. I even evaluate manuscripts, and ghostwrite if desired.
Please contact me via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or text (818-414-8387) to get the ball rolling. I look forward to hearing for you, and most importantly, working to make your work spec-able!!
