Katerina Taxia

Katerina is a Second City Alumni actor who was the original, ultimate Italian princess Tina in the smash improvised comedy hit Tony N Tina's Wedding.

She then served as the Queen of the Nile being cast as Cleopatra in the Discovery Channel’s Cleopatra’s Palace and the Real Cleopatra, which was showcased globally in over 130 countries. Katerina has had guest starring roles on hit television shows such as Darcy’s Wildlife on NBC, CBC’s This Is Wonderland, JJ Abrams, sci-fi hit, Fringe on the FOX network and also appeared in SYFY's Warehouse 13 and the Emmy award winning PBSkids show Odd Squad.

Most recent work is in the Netflix film, Awake with Gina Rodriguez, a recurring role as Katlin Martin in The Expanse on Amazon Prime and as Aunt Rebecca on the Emmy award winning show Handmaid's Tale on HULU.

She has given her time to several touching and important PSA's for the Princess Margaret Hospital titled Tears of Joy, a heartbreaking PSA for Partners Mental Health that deals with teen suicide, titled, Right by You, the Salvation Army PSA Black Friday to end poverty in Canada, LadyBalls for Ovarian Cancer and SickkidsVsMomStrong which has had almost 4 million views on YouTube.

Upcoming projects include a role in the feature film Slumberland, starring Jason Momoa, directed by Francis Lawrence.
