LOGLINE:

An FBI agent stumbles on what appears to be a nationwide serial killer who has gone undetected for over a decade.  The killer always commits his murders on obscure webcams

SYNOPSIS:

FBI agent Sandy Lewis is not your typical agent. She can be a little rough around the edges due to her being the only female of her family of five boys to become an FBI agent. Her father and brothers are all members of the Chicago police department. Sandy has fallen out of the graces of her local department after overstepping her boss during an investigation involving some local influential businessmen.

Sandy has found herself suspended for a few weeks and decides to take a vacation to Las Vegas to get away from the grind in Chicago. After a few days on the strip and visiting the local attractions around Las Vegas she wakes up to the news of a murder that occurred at the Hoover Dam not long after her visit. She decided to look a little deeper as she was so familiar with the location and went to the local FBI office in Henderson. She was met with a local agent Domonique Alverez who she assumed was just a receptionist due to her glamorous outfit. After some awkward banter and Sandy identifying herself and reasons for the visit, she is given access to a workspace to research the local murder information that was available.

There was some available webcam footage of the dam that runs 24/7 that shows all the activities from the day which did include her even seeing herself. On the video shows the crowds dissipate over time into the evening as a man wearing an odd outfit with a woman who appeared to be staggering and almost being pulled into the center of the frame where the man wraps piano wire around both hands and continues to smirk at the camera as he wraps the wire around the woman’s neck as she struggles and finally falls to the ground. The man’s face is covered with a steampunk half mask which only shows the lower half of his face as he smiles and slowly walks off camera.

Sandy is horrified watching this play out in almost real time, but most disturbing was a similar strangulation murder occurred a year ago outside of a popular theme park near Chicago that was never solved. Sandy decided to call her friend Mike Antonio that was involved with that case back home. She was shocked to learn there was actual webcam footage very similar to the one she just watched.

A live webcam serial killer? How many more have there been that have not been solved?
