About Amy

Amy Altobelli has two decades experience Nursing in the New York area, including 10 years working with critical patients in the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit. Prior to her extensive work in this field, Amy spent the early part of her career working in Nutritional Medicine researching alternate means of healing through different creative outlets. This seemed a natural transition from her first degree in Fine Art/Theater & Music in which she was able to incorporate into her work.

If this didn't keep Amy busy enough, she also found time to become involved in legal aspects of nursing with NYSUT & AFT, lobbying at the capitol on better conditons for patients and nurses. Never one to leave her creative side behind, she continued to work as a free-lance illustrator and photographer on various projects, also instucting painting in private lessons. Additionally, her combined critical and creative thinking seemed the perfect blend for work as a freelance medical script consultant (a free service to those studying screenwriting in school, being well aware of the cost of college tuition!)

Currently representing LaughMD in the NY Metropolitan area, a company that encompasses bringing healing power through creative means to hospital patients, she continues to be proactive in finding helpful ways to make the patient's healing process successful.

Amy is currently available freelancing for medical consulting on scripts.

Unique traits: Experienced Neuro-Surgical ICU Nurse with a B.A. in Fine Arts/Theater (Acting & Directing). Strong writing skills capable in script/scene consulting for both dramatic and comedic scenes.
