A grieving father builds an unlikely relationship over the phone with a young man claiming to be the murderer of his seventeen year old son eight years ago.

Synopsis

Bradley had the perfect life, a loving wife and gifted son who was weeks away from starting basketball his freshmen year at North Carolina. Bradley's family was his life until a tragedy struck in a nearby woods that would change his life forever. Eight years later we find Bradley a strung out drug addict, still grieving over his son's unsolved murder eight years ago.

He is a ghost of his former self. His wife has moved on and remarried with kids. Bradley finds himself alone and has been carrying on a relationship over the phone for the past six years with a young man claiming to be the murderer of his son. Bradley refuses to end his relationship with this young man until he finds the reason why he murdered his son.

Bradley's search for the identity of the killer grows desperate, as the killer reeks havoc claiming the lives of three young men who were childhood friends of Bradley's son. As the town of Morgan Creek grows in fear, Bradley discovers that the murders are all connected to him and the reason the killer has been calling him all these years, he wants Bradley to confess that dark secret he witnessed in those woods that he tried to bury eight years ago involving the killer, Bradley's son and the three dead victims. Realizing his own guilt that led to the death of his only son. Bradley forgives his son's killer and is finally able to do what he's been running away from for the past eight years and that is saying goodbye to his son.

Bradley now finds himself at peace and cuts off all communication with the killer but out of desperation the killer kidnaps a young woman who has grown fond of him. He gives Bradley an ultimatum Bradley must kill him like he promised all these years in order to save the young woman's life.
