What happens to a group of friends when they stumble across what they believe is the Garden of Eden in the most inhospitable places on Earth -- Chernobyl Ukraine?

So, what happened to these two trees–and the Garden itself for that matter? Did these trees eventually die? Some will feel that the two trees didn’t die, but have been hidden among us and in a quite well publicized location. Others will feel that the discovery of the Garden of Eden at Chernobyl is simply wishful thinking. This film is specifically designed to appeal to believers as well as skeptics. What happens in this film depends on how much you believe. Opening credits appear over lapsed photography of a field and then the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the background. The shot begins with the empty field and moves to the building of the reactor. There are trucks and people and the site is alive. It covers the meltdown and response and the building of the sarcophagus. The people and trucks disappear as travel to the area is prohibited. A peach tree grows from a sprout to a fine and perfectly formed tree. Eventually the tree grows to obscure the closed power plant. PREFACE In Genesis 2, we are told that there were two named trees in the Garden of Eden–the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and the Tree of Life. So, what happened to these two trees–and the Garden itself for that matter? Did these trees eventually die? The answer, revealed in this film, is “No, the trees didn‘t die.” According to the film, the trees have been obscured from human sight near Chernobyl Ukraine. The tree of knowledge has been living just West and within sight of the nuclear reactor. The film will begin with a CG time lapsed history of the Chernobyl trees. The trees look special and bright (Adam and Eve are there) and then ordinary and die they are replaced with the entire history of the location. The time lapsed story ends with the construction of the nuclear power plant, the meltdown and then the isolation of the area. ACT ONE There is a group of enlightened and talented group of young professionals that meet in a café each week. They were friends at the University and all have interesting careers — computer programmer, athlete, writer and medical researcher. The “computer programmer character” by mere chance finds something odd from satellite images. In the winter, just west of the Chernobyl plant there is a green spot, the heavy snow is melted in an area surrounding a tree. In addition, there appear to be some exotic animals living near the tree. He also notices a warm spot on the power plant sarcophagus where snow isn’t accumulating. He doesn’t understand the meaning of this all but he visit’s a church. He sees nearly the same images in religious paintings of the Garden of Eden and he theorizes the location of the Garden. He sees the tree in the field is the Tree of Knowledge and the nuclear power plant is the “cherubim and the flaming sword” protecting the Tree of Life. The fruit from the tree of knowledge gives one the power to distinguish good from evil. So, each character must be teetering on the edge of right and wrong. The “computer programmer character” has been toying with the idea of hacking into the national security computer and downloading all their secrets. However, he admits that he is tempted to just let it go and let the politician’s continue raping the country. The “athlete character” is contemplating taking performance enhancing drugs in preparation for the Olympics. The “writer character” is contemplating taking the end of Anna Karenina and putting it on the end of his novel. The old idea would ruin the novel which has the potential to be unique. The “medical character” has a wife that is effected with a horrible disease. He is working on research in that might lead to a drug to treat his wife, but he hasn’t had any success yet. He admits to the group that his wife has asked him to end her pain. He admits that he has considered euthanasia. The “computer programmer character” shares his findings with his friends and it is proposed that they go explore. They have a debate about the story. The question is are the pipes from the closed nuclear reactor bringing heat to the area and warming the tree and attracting the animals. They consider going to explore. However, they are too busy. They have important medical research, sports training, a novel to write and work. They suspect the “computer programmer character” might have become mentally unbalanced. Out of politness, they agree that they might go to Chernobyl in the spring. ACT TWO The “computer programmer character” continues to monitor the location and he emails strange photos from the tree. Exotic animals, fruit in the winter, changes weather patterns. Every sort of scientific evidence on the strange occurrence is sent to them. The group of friends hope to accomplish their goals and this might fueling their curiosity. They each individually explore the story of the Garden of Eden and question various priests about the story. With a combination of science and religion, slowly over time, they are won over and begin to agree that there is something supernatural there. Spring arrives and the young professionals visit Chernobyl. They try to visit legally and are turned away. They sneak onto the prohibited area. They see no exotic animals but do notice droppings. They eat peaches from what they believe is the Tree of Knowledge. They don’t feel any immediate effects Driving home however. Each one has an epiphany about their goals. The computer programmer figures out in his mind how to break into the government’s spy computer. The writer is inspired by something she observes out the window in the countryside and she now has the answer to end her novel. The medical researcher sees something in the DNA he has been examining. The athlete has the car stop and she runs back to Kiev. ACT THREE The computer programmer releases several thousand pages of documents to the international press. There are protests in the streets and the politicians resign. The writer finishes the novel and it is a sensation. The athlete wins the gold medal. The medical researcher discovery leads to a drug and his wife is restored to health. The media begins to report rumors of the tree. It is reported as a joke. Satellite photos are said to be faked and that the entire story is a hoax. However, thousands of people line up to petition the government to open the Chernobyl area. The Ukrainian military must be called out to keep the Chernobyl area closed, however they are overrun by the most desperate and most motivated. They storm the tree and eat all the fruit. No one notices or thinks about the tree growing inside the sarcophagus. When the Lord God drove the man out of the Garden; “at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life.” Inside the Chernobyl sarcophagus is growing the Tree of Life.
