Joey O'Connor is an award-winning screenwriter and author of 20 books. His screenplay (with co-writer Ken Straw) has won 5 awards at film festivals in Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas and Virginia. He is also an award winner of the short film, The Scott Rigsby Story. Joey is currently producing two feature films.
Joey is also the founder and executive director of The Grove Center for the Arts & Media, a Southern California arts organization (http://www.thegrovecenter.org). Joey is also one of the founders of the Congo Reform Association, a non-profit designed to use story, film, and social media to inspire social action to help end the Congo Conflict. Joey lives in San Clemente with his wife and family. He is an avid triathlete who enjoys surfing, eating fish tacos, reading, and laying in the hot sand.
