About Micaela

“All children except one, grow up.”-J.M. Barrie’s, Peter Pan Ever since she was little Micaela Colman has endeavored to be the second. Pursuing a Career in the art of pretend and story through film and video, Micaela has received her BA in Communications from The Evergreen State College and her MFA in Film and Television Production from The University of Southern California. She has experience in many different aspects of production and is generally very passionate about the whole process from development to distribution. She is highly skilled at collaborative team building, problem solving, and project logistics. These skills, as well as a creative and keen understanding of story, garnered her an Award for Outstanding Achievement in producing at The First Look Film Festival, for her work on the short Nzara ’76. Having a love for the area in which she grew up, Micaela is looking to build her career up her in the Northwest and would be a great value to any production.
