About Andrea

I am a visionary filmmaker with unshakeable ambition and passion for storytelling. My goal is to continue creating narrative, avant garde and documentary films that entertain, educate, enlighten and inspire.
In the past few years, I have written, directed, edited, shot/ DP'ed and produced 11 of my own films (and collaborated on at least two dozen others), some on digital and others on 16 mm film. I've edited film by hand.

A 16mm student film of mine, "Food for Roger" was selected for the Palm Springs International Short Fest Film Market in 2012.

Recently at age 21, I co-produced my first feature film, a retro-wacko musical comedy called "The Sisters Plotz" starring director Lisa Hammer (The Venture Brothers), Eve Plumb (The Brady Bunch) and award-winning writer and artist Lisa Ferber. I also choreographed and acted in the film a bit, and was an additional camera operator. A short article I wrote can be found on Lost at E-Minor:

I've interned at Killer Films as a script reader, Silvercup Studios and the Hamptons International FIlm Festival.

Filmmaking and writing are my passions, but in addition I have 19 years of competitive dance experience and enjoy acting. I recently became a member of SAG-AFTRA after some years of training and castings in small Indie pictures. My acting training includes stage combat: rapier, dagger and unarmed fighting.

I graduated from Hofstra University in May, 2013 with a B.A in Film Studies and Production and a minor in English/ Creative Writing, with Cum Laude, Dean's List and Honors College distinctions.

Currently, I am writing a feature length script and a television series, with 1 additional feature and 2 shorts in development.

I am a freelance videographer and editor, officially partnered with Birds Eye Imaging and A Lifetime Legacy.

Unique traits: 20 years of competitive dance experience with national champion titles- professional choreographer as well (jazz, contemporary and hip hop, musical theatre choreo experience also). Stage combat training. Stick shift. Conversational Spanish and Italian. Other hobbies include philosophy and astrophysics (amateur).
