About Tony

Anthony (Tony) Calvino is a Cuban / American Actor, Writer, Producer, Director, born on the year of the Snake in May 1953. He and his family left Cuba 1961 due to the communist incursion into Cuba.

Tony Calvino has been a performer since the age of six years old when was able to get out of being punished in kindergarten by singing a song to the nuns that ran the school.

During his mid twenties Tony Calvino started his professional Theatrical and Film Industry career after staring in a stage play (The Bad Seed). He was captivated and continued performing in over 200 Commercials, of which over 20 he was the Principle, about 100 regional and local spots, has been featured, co-stared and stared in Plays, Feature Films and TV shows such as: Grimm, Miami Vice (TV), Knights Of The City (TV), Superior Court (Spanish Version) (TV), Amigos (Feature Film), Thanksgiving in Union City (Stage Play), Alguna Cosita Que Alivie el Sufrir (Stage OFF/OFF Broadway), Man Of La Mancha (Stage Play), over twenty Industrial Films, had the staring roles in the Happy New Year Havana (Film Short), Moonlight Sonata (Film Short), featured in Flight Of The Navigator (Feature Film), co stared in Chavez Ravine (Film Short) and continues on.

Calvino expanded his career by going and graduating with a Fellowship Diploma from the American Film Institute in Hollywood California.

URBAN COMBAT consists of a team of two fighters against two others (same time, no tag team), three minute matches.
