Cathy's husband takes his own life after she has an affair, and she descends into alcoholism and drugs. She is sentenced to prison by the judge she used to work for, and loses her career, husband and children,  freedom and hope. But when she cries out to God, her astonishing ascent from prison to redemption becomes a living testimony to other struggling souls.

SYNOPSIS:

The façade looks wonderful: a successful court reporting career, a home in Newport Beach, a loving father and three lovely children. But Cathy longs for something more, a fulfillment she seeks it in the arms of the wrong man. Her husband figures out she is having an affair as he is contending with severe diabetes complications and decides that life isn’t worth living anymore. He takes his own life.

Cathy goes on a drinking binge and starts using crystal methamphetamines. Her life spirals out of control and yet, she hasn’t managed to find the fulfillment that she was looking for. The man she had been seeing was a drug dealer. After a couple bouts with the law, she is arrested for possession of a controlled substance. She appears before the judge she worked for as a court reporter and he sentences her to prison. Her parents take custody of her children. Her spirit is finally broken.

While in jail, Cathy has an encounter with God; she finally breaks down in the shower and begs God for forgiveness. In that moment a peace settles over her and she finally realizes that even though she is in prison, she has found fulfillment and has finally been set free.

When Cathy is released, her life is slowly put back together in a way that only God can do. Content as she is being single, God places a man in her life, and through miraculous intervention, shows her this is his plan for her. Cathy’s children are restored, her life takes a whole new path with a man who loves her regardless of her faults.
