A little girl's behavior begin to change out of the blue, and dramatically at times, as her parents seek help for answers as to the cause.

SYNOPSIS:

Appeasing Emmie is a story about a little girl who at first is like any girl her age. That is until her moods begin to change suddenly and rapidly. Emmie, her name, begins to become very tired, angry, withdrawn, sad, etc. which causes her family to become bewildered as to what has happened to their little girl. Connor and Courtney, the parents, take Emmie to the doctor to figure out what could be wrong with her. The doctor, after normal blood tests, recommends the parents take Emmie to see a psychologist to better understand and pinpoint the origins of Emmie's sudden change in behavior.

Connor mentions to Courtney that a co-worker had mentioned a herbal doctor. Reluctant at first, Courtney agrees. Dr. Onwualu comes to stay with the family, as he mentions its best to observe first hand Emmie's changes in behavior. Doing so, the herbal doctor sees first hand Emmie's abrupt changes in behavior as Emmie refers to Dr. Onwualu as "a vegetable too.", which causes confusion for Courtney. When the weather is raining, Emmie is tired, sad, and at times emotional with tears. Other weather elements cause different behaviors.

Dr. Onwualu catches on to the connection between Emmie's mood changes with how the current weather stands. That discovery, although hard to believe at first, makes Connor, and Courtney decide to take a trip out to San Diego where the weather is a lot sunnier - with a catch. That trip will lead to an amazing revelation as Emmie is back to her old cheerful self. On this trip, Connor reveals that the only way they got a vacation on such short notice was due to him quitting his job while using current connections to get him a job opportunity in San Diego. Courtney, initially shocked as to just being made aware of this, comes around to the idea due to Emmie's now cheerful behavior, which is what everyone was hoping for out there. Due to Emmie's consistent behavior, the Barker's decide they will indeed move out to San Diego.
