Experienced DGA First Assistant Director. I have worked on most types of productions and am pretty good at helping producers and directors make their movies and stay out of trouble. I enjoy the entire filmmaking process and nothing makes me happier than standing behind the camera and watching things go smoothly and quietly. I help directors get as many shots as possible by smart scheduling -- extra shots that can be immensely useful in the editing room.
Recently I've been working mostly on mid to lower budget horror/fantasy films with creature and prosthetic makeup EFX as those are the films that seem to actually get made. I've done big budget and complicated shows, too, and they can be great fun.
I've done big American Civil War films, big action films, and made movies all over the United States and in exotic locations like Borneo. I help students make thesis films at AFI and at UCLA here in Los Angeles.
Strong background in Film Set Safety. Firefighter/Fire Rescue and Motor Racing experience. Member of the DGA Visual Effects Committee. Up on much of the latest technology. These days things are changing so rapidly it's fun to keep up.

Unique traits: Really good scheduling that helps all involved--the director, the actors, and all the departments. Good communications. If we all understand the plan -- what we're doing and why we're doing it, things go so much more smoothly. And I thoroughly enjoy my job. It's great fun to make movies.
