I'm a writer, producer, and story consultant. EVERYTHING starts with a good story, and I'd love to know yours and add to my Rolodex. I'm open to all, but particularly interested in finding a solid roster of folks that make magic behind the scenes (post, vfx, casting, line producers and crew). April is the month when a door always closes and opens to a new season. Come on in!

My chubby black cat has just played with a balled up piece of paper for almost twenty minutes, never for a moment losing interest. ( Now if only I could get her to fold laundry...) Yes, I will send you the link to my short film once it is finished. Thank you for expressing interest. More of my work at: amylloydonline.com This has been fun chatting with you, Laurie. Take care. Thank you, Laurie. I'd love the opportunity to work with you!
Looking forward to connecting.

I myself am mostly experienced in cinematography and colour grading, with past experience in VFX. We've managed to get into few nice film festivals with our short films, and are currently developing a feature film project. Showreel: http://vimeo.com/84288418 My focus is on constant development, so I'm always looking forward to participating in international projects, especially in countries that are more developed in filmmaking, which is at least 2/3 of the rest of the world :) Glad to be in this great community!
Nice!
Very nice work!
Sophisticated and polished demo. I love your different styles. I'm learning cinematography myself soon, although I will be using experienced people when I make my stuff.

I don't like to submit my screenplays around until they have gotten a bit of notice. This one just (4 days ago or so) was named an Official Selection of the Beverly Hills Film Festival but I was still nervous about it after getting turned down on my first 3 written pitches through Stage 32. An author friend suggested a small (but important) tweak to my pitch, which I did and submitted again yesterday. Today I have a screenplay request from a company doing a new movie with Robert De Niro! Thank You Stage 32!
Wonderful to hear of your success!
Awesome, Frank!
I love this business. Congratulations.
Hey Manley!! thanks for the connection!
Thanks for the request Patrice.
Hey y'all! I've been here now going on my 2nd week. So far so good! I'm meeting lots of talented people. One question though..... What is this Karma thing and how do you raise it up? What's the purpose of it? Thanks :)
Karma is the law of cause and effect. The hidden power from God which shapes your life- Kavi Akbardeen
Believe it to be just a Rah-Rah thing to keep people posting...
I'm figuring it out lol ;)

I have a feature-length screenplay I wrote for my Master's degree last year, but I don't know much about the industry of shopping it around. I'm looking forward to using Stage 32 to connect with others and to hopefully launch a career in screenwriting. Unfortunately, I'm stuck in the Greater Philadelphia Area for the foreseeable future. I hope to learn much from everybody on Stage 32 so that I can pay it forward, someday. If anybody wants to reach out, I'll be here. The more, the merrier.
Welcome, JD!
Welcome JD. I think it's great to have a formal education about a craft this deep and broad. I'm struggling with learning the basics that you might have learned in SCREENWRITING 501.

I've always avoided networking afraid of losing my material to someone without integrity. I entered my screenplay in a screenwriting contest only to see scenes in major pictures within a couple years later that looked extremely close, if not spot on, to what I have written. Could be just coincidence but it scared me to the point of staying away from others in the business for years. Now with more confidence and knowledge, I'm reentering the world of marketing my talent in hopes of selling my script and possibly being a help to others like me.
Hi Marilyn...
Hi Manley..
Welcome Manley... you've found the perfect community for a screenwriter here. Congrats for that. You're going to love it... and never feel isolated again!!!
When writing a story or a screenplay (teleplay) do you ever visualize certain actors for certain roles? And if you do; have you ever made those preferences known if the product was sold?
thanks RB he's actually one of my more amusing of the recurring characters that pop up in the 3 Gothic arcs I have presently.
Terry Gilliam famously wrote Time Bandits with a line that directly referenced Sean Connery. At the time he had no idea if Connery would take up the role, but he did.
Slightly different when you're Terry Gilliam and have Connery on speed dial, but I get your gist, David!
Just signed up to Stage 32. This looks like a great tool to connect and network with entertainment industry professional's. Please take a look at my profile and add me. look forward to meeting everyone.

But thanks for your kind words. @manley thank you, I'm 10 pages into the final act I've got the ending in my head very clear, struggling a bit try to get there tbh. But coming in spurts, haha not the dirty kind. But truly thanks both of you, just what I need to help raise my sprits.
I'm glad you took the notes the way they were intended, as constructive advice and not as an "in your face" put-down. The fact that you can recognise your issues and want to improve on them means you will go far. Well done, Tony.
No thank you, for taking the time to write some good feed back, like I said if you hadn't bothered I'd still be thinking I'm the nuts. Lol
