Linda Marie Curry is an award-winning Australian Writer/ Producer/Director who’s film ‘KNOW BY HEART’ a one-shot short film, Won Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor at SOIFF 2016, was accepted into the Festival De Cannes Short Corner for 2016. Was a finalist at the Westend Film festival 2016 and shortlisted for Byron Bay Film Festival 2016. Best Actor award Screen It Film Festival 2016. Won Kudos for Best Premise 2017.
Know By Heart was up for 4 nominations at the Australian Screen Industry awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress 2017
Her latest short film Beautiful Scars won audience choice at the Screen It Film Festival 2018
Her previous credits include short films, drama ‘FINDING LILLY’ action/fantasy ‘DRALIEN,’ comedy short ‘DENNIS MAYHEW’S MAGIC MIRROR’ and ‘FOUND’. Her short documentary ‘SHANE’ caught the attention of the Quadriplegic Benefit Fund, who asked to have it edited into an eight-minute accident prevention video for use in secondary schools. Linda was involved in community theatre for five years, writing full-length plays, performed to sell-out audiences.
Linda is an enthusiastic writer and storyteller who had her first children's adventure fantasy story, ‘THE CALLING’ published in 2004. She has written or created the story for all her films as well as produced and directed them. Linda enjoys the process of bringing her vision to life on the big screen. Linda is passionate about storytelling and is always seeking new challenges and thrives when learning new things.
