Yay, again! I pitched a screenplay to an agency, via Skype and Happy Writers, and the person I pitched to asked to read it. Here's hoping. Representation by these folks would be a lovely thing.

oh for crying out loud when will any of us need to argue anything in court in regards to our scripts? NEVER happen.

Arbitration (which I've been through in my meager career) and, frankly, the fact that the LAWYERS of purchasing producers may require LOC copyright. I've been there also. Cherie, in the real world these things actually do matter.

If an issue arises you will then need to register the copyright which would give you statutory protection, attorney's fees, etc. You need to register within 5 years of publication. But, If you need the peace of mind, by all means register, but you can always register at the time it is demanded for whatever reason, or an issue arises to be argued in court.
I'm thrilled to announce that I recently got a Rep for my new screenplay "Raina." Hopefully, this is step one to realizing my dream of someday seeing one of my screenplays up on that elusive big silver screen!
Congratulation...!! :)

Been in the business a little over ten years. I've produced two stage plays, four films, written screenplays and basically just looking to remain busy, relevant, and an asset to others. I'm always looking to learn new ways of doing things, always open to new ideas and collaborations. It's a relationship business and I'm looking forward to building great relationships first which will hopefully segway into phenomenal projects. My award website is http://www.philadelphiaindependentfilmawards.com You can visit just to see what it is we're doing. And if you're a filmmaker in Philadelphia with an awesome film we'd love for you to submit it and hopefully we'll see you walking to the podium to receive best picture or actor honors. Pleasure seeing all of you and good luck in all your endeavors, present and future ones.

Expand commentThanks for opening the PIFA to us non-Philadelphians. I just optioned a script for a short paranormal comedy set here in SW Florida that I think will be perfect. We're segueing from development into pre-production now, and plan to start shooting June 1. Plan to wrap by the end of July, and finish post in time for your late deadline. We have a Director and most of the cast and crew attached, already, as well as locations scouted. Now working on promotion, and product placement deals to keep costs down. We'll distribute through VOD after PIFA. Anybody interested in buying in for Co-Producer credit will be welcome. Contact me via email at cgmasi@cgmasi.com

This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!

What's the company? Most luck I've had is Benderspink, but NOT with Mr. Vang. They took 6 of my scripts to peek at last year and the year before. This year, I can't get arrested!

I'll say who it is when/if I actually sign with someone -- until that point I'd rather not say.
