SYNOPSIS:

15 yr. old Sean McGuire flees famine ravaged Ireland and lands in CA on the eve of the Bear Flag Revolt. Lee Sing leaves his home in Canton for Gum Saan (Golden Mountain) only to experience discrimination and hatred. Sean, along with his partners Charlie Davis and Rufus Cobb, and with the aid of Lee Sing establish the Oso Negro as a preeminent ranch in early Los Angeles. An old nemesis from Ireland threatens Sean and all he has built. McGuire is forced to face his adversary down when the life of his future wife is put in jeopardy.
