Am looking forward to meeting a lot of you and taking advantage of all the great resources the site offers. With a major in Radio/TV/Film, a supplemental certification in Film from the Valencia Community College's Film Program in association with Universal, and my Certificate in Recording Engineering from Full Sail, I started as an office PA on live specials back in the late '80s, moved into location sound, where I had the rare opportunity to learn that craft under master location mixer Peter Devlin, and then moved in Locations. After that, I transitioned into Post, where I worked my way up to Associate Producer. I'm now focusing on making the transition to full producer, and am also writing and pitching scripted TV and film projects. Being on both the production and post sides of film making taught me a huge amount about the business, and now I'm looking to make the jump to the upper reaches, where it all starts. Hope we get to commiserate and collaborate along the way, and I want to extend my best wishes to everyone working their way up, no matter where you are and what you're goals are. It's a great privilege to work in the industry and contribute to its long, storied history. Enjoy it, respect it, love it, live it and you'll find it very rewarding on a lot of different levels. Questions, thoughts, discussions ... my office door is always open! Cheers, one and all! :-)
Andy, great to have you in the community!
Thanks for the connection Clara ... I'm new here, so making new friends is great!
Hi guys, I'm pretty new too so thanks for connecting Clara!

Hi Andy. I'm RB, Founder and CEO of Stage 32. As a screenwriter, producer, actor and filmmaker, I know first-hand the challenges all creatives face finding work, landing representation, launching projects, securing funding and simply making the connections that will make a difference in their careers. That's why I created Stage 32. This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
RB

Funny thing Andy, I have Rosetta (a client gave it to me a few years ago), but I preferred the Michel Thomas method more, and GermanPod101.
Interesting ... have to check that out. My family is half German, so I took four years in HS, but am wanting to brush up, since I have a sister- and brother-in-law in Germany.
I have so many friends who purchased Rosette Stone that have told me that DuoLingo is a far superior program. Not to mention, it's absolutely free! You can network with people on Duo with high experience points and then compete with them for the top score of the week...
